Founded by Ralph S. Sando, Sr., M.D. in 1979, Philadelphia Ophthalmology Associates has been serving patients’ ophthalmology needs throughout the Philadelphia and Main Line areas for over 40 years.
The current director, Ralph S. Sando, Jr., M.D., performs state-of-the-art cataract surgery using devices such as the femtosecond laser and ORA. Over his 20-year career, he has implanted nearly every premium lens to hit the market and continues to offer the most advanced lenses. He’s known for making complicated eye problems easy to understand. As a board-certified Wills Eye staff physician, Dr. Sando Jr. treats a wide range of ocular disease and performs routine exams. Dr. Sando Jr. performs surgery at Main Line Surgery Center, Jefferson Surgery Center, Wills Eye Hospital and Bryn Mawr Hospital, where he is Chief of Ophthalmology.
